Our BCBA-led drop-off program gives autistic tweens and teens a place to decompress, connect, and thrive outside of school. Each day includes structured, instructor-led activities that encourage creativity, social connection, and personal growth, along with flexible time to spend time with friends or enjoy personal interests at their own pace.
Ideal Participants
Autistic tweens and teens who require minimal support and are eager to engage, connect, and grow.
Activities
Instructor-led activities include coding, art, Lego robotics, yoga, themed activities, and more. During unstructured time, participants can have a snack and unwind together with board games, puzzle crafts, Legos, video games, and social screen time.
Flexible Scheduling
Families can enroll their children one class at a time, or purchase session or membership packages.
Getting Started
Begin with a brief caregiver interview so we can learn about your child and ensure Unwind is a good fit. After the interview, you’ll be able to schedule your child’s free trial week. If your child enjoys the experience, we’ll provide a registration link so you can reserve their spot for ongoing participation.
Open Monday through Friday from 3:00pm to 6:30pm
The first step is for the caregiver to set up a meeting with our program coordinator, Samantha Richter. We know that not every program is right for every kid. Together, you’ll decide if your child will enjoy the Unwind program.
Reach Sam directly at 551-380-6211 or Unwind@CopeCenterforAutism.org.
Fun-filled, inclusive seasonal parties designed to bring autistic teens and tweens together through games, crafts, themed activities, and special events. Children needing extra support are welcome to join with a caregiver.
Girls Night (Ages 11-17)
A special evening for autism girls to unwind, laugh, and build meaningful friendships through themed activities, creative projects, and shared experiences.
