Unwind at the Cope Center

Supportive Enrichment for Autistic Children and Their Families

Programs

We celebrate the strengths and diversity of autistic individuals, encouraging friendship, creativity, and self-expression.
At Unwind, we believe in being the best YOU, not the best someone else.
Everything that we do shows our commitment to neurodiversity, inclusion, and accessibility.

A fun and supportive BCBA-led class that combines simple yoga, games, and snack time, and free play to help children with autism build social skills, emotional regulation, and body awareness. In a predictable, low-pressure environment, participants can connect with peers, explore movement, and unwind at their own pace.

A playful and supportive class that combines movement, storytelling, art, and open play to nurture early social, listening, and creative skills. Through interactive books, hands-on activities, and opportunities to connect with peers, children can explore, imagine, and learn in a fun, flexible environment.

Built-In Supports

Visual Schedules & Predictable Routines

Daily activities follow a consistent structure, supported by visual cues and clear transitions

Sensory-Friendly Options

Kids have access to quiet spaces, sensory tools (e.g., fidgets, noise-canceling headphones), and flexible seating.

Flexible Participation

Kids may take breaks, observe before joining, or engage in alternate ways that suit their comfort level.

Trained Staff

All staff are trained in autism-informed practices, including communication strategies, positive behavior supports, and sensory awareness.

The first step is for the caregiver to set up a meeting with our program coordinator, Samantha Richter. We know that not every program is right for every kid. Together, you’ll decide if your child will enjoy the Unwind program.
