Viviana Lozano

Viviana Lozano, NP, holds a master’s degree in nursing from Walden University (2021), a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Bloomfield College (2013), and an Associate Degree in Nursing from Passaic County Community College. With a career spanning since 2008, Viviana has amassed extensive experience in various healthcare settings. She has served as a pediatric nurse practitioner at Kiddy Clinic and as a primary provider at Metrodoc Urgent Care, Nirvana Health, Gastroenterologist Associates, and Signify Health. Her roles have included Hospice Case Manager and supervisor of a 180-bed subacute facility, where she excelled in building positive relationships with patients and their families, assessing and evaluating patient needs, and developing individualized care plans. 

As a Nurse Practitioner, Viviana plays a critical role in healthcare delivery, providing comprehensive care that includes diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions, prescribing medications, and implementing treatment plans. She emphasizes disease prevention and health maintenance, working collaboratively with patients, their families, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure the highest quality of care. Her approach is holistic, considering the physical, emotional, and social aspects of health to support overall well-being. 

Viviana’s passion for working with children on the autism spectrum is deeply personal, as she understands firsthand the unique challenges and rewards of raising a neurodivergent child. She is particularly interested in enhancing communication and social skills and creating inclusive environments for these children to thrive. 

With 18 years of healthcare experience, Viviana has also served as a surgical coordinator in private practices specializing in cardiology, internal medicine, and ophthalmology. Her diverse roles as a family nurse practitioner in various settings have shaped her understanding of healthcare delivery and the needs of culturally diverse and underserved populations. 

Viviana has been actively involved in professional organizations, serving as Chair of Public Relations and Marketing and Board Member at the National Association of Hispanic Nurses, Garden State Chapter. She has contributed to health education through panel discussions and poster presentations on healthcare issues among Hispanic patients and the impact of cultural competency on health literacy. 

In her leisure time, Viviana enjoys crocheting, painting nature watercolors, exploring parks and nature centers, and watching K-dramas with her children, activities that bring her joy and relaxation.
