The Cope Center for Autism: What Makes Us Special?

The Cope Center for Autism is an innovative, comprehensive support system for the autistic community. We are unique in so many ways.

If your child isn’t meeting milestones for speech or developing like other kids, you don’t want to wait a year for a doctor’s appointment. You want answers NOW. At the Cope Center for Autism, we understand that urgency. We can get you an appointment within a month.

We accept Medicaid and Cigna health insurance. Soon, we will take all major insurance programs. For a small fee, we can help families without Medicaid or Cigna now. More info here.

We do a complete 60-90 minute ADOS evaluation — the gold standard of autism evaluations.

We don’t push parents out the door with a diagnosis and a million questions. Immediately after the diagnosis, families meet with our Parent Education team. They learn about next steps, get a list of therapy centers, and more. When families leave us, they have a plan to help their children.

Our Parent Education team works with families up to age 21. We provide information about next steps, education, transition, and post-high-school life. We provide help in one-to-one meetings and through free evening webinars.

This month, we are thrilled to launch our after-school program, called “Unwind,” aimed at teens with Level 1 autism. Students can sign up for classes on yoga, coding, art, and more. Fun activities like a Halloween Trunk or Treat event have been planned. More information here.
