Beatriz Tejeiro

Beatriz is a highly experienced Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with over 25 years of dedicated service in pediatric primary care. She began her nursing journey with an Associate of Science in Nursing from Atlantic Union College, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Columbia University. Her commitment to pediatric care led her to earn a Master of Science in Nursing from Columbia University, specializing in the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program.

Certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in Primary Care, Beatriz has a rich background in nursing, having worked as a Registered Nurse in both the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Pediatric Emergency Room settings before becoming a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. This diverse experience has equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of pediatric healthcare needs.

Throughout her career, Beatriz has been passionate about providing comprehensive, individualized care with a holistic approach. She discovered a particular passion for caring for children facing developmental and behavioral challenges, which inspired a transition from primary care to specializing in autism assessments and evaluations for children with learning disabilities.

Beatriz is committed to lifelong learning and professional development in pediatrics.

She is a co-author in a case study titled “A New Case of Grange Syndrome Without Cardiac Findings,” published in the American Journal of Medicine on May 11, 2006.

Outside of her professional life, Beatriz enjoys reading, baking sourdough bread, spending time with family, and has a love for the beach and Disney.

Beatriz is proud to be part of the team at the Cope Center for Autism and looks forward to continuing to make a positive impact on the lives of her patients and their families.
