Supporting autism families with assessments, guidance, and more

Making a difference for children with autism and their families.

Cope Center for Autism

Cope Center for Autism, located in Ridgewood, New Jersey,
supports children with autism spectrum disorder, helping them be themselves in the best way possible.

Diagnostic Testing Center

Under the guidance and supervision of Dr. Jennifer Cope, we provide high-quality autism assessments of children up to age twenty-one. Patients will be referred for external hearing evaluations, EEG, genetic testing, and other diagnostics as necessary. A quality assessment with medical oversight is often the first step in accessing insurance-provided therapy and school services.

Support and Advocacy Program

An autism diagnosis is the first step in the autism journey for parents. We can answer questions on everything from ABA to college. Need help understanding autism basics? Need a reference for therapy and after-school programs? Ready to start planning for adulthood? Our trained specialists will guide parents as they seek answers to these questions and more. In the future, we’ll offer presentations by experts on the latest research and local opportunities and support families with school-related issues.

The Teen Club: Where You Can Be You

Starting later this year, we will provide a safe, non-judgmental place for teens (ages 13-18) to gather after school and participate in preferred activities with peers. Supervised by trained staff, students will have access to computers, coding programs, art supplies, Lego robotics, and other activities. They can hang out in our lounge area with couches and a television.  We also plan to hold weekend events that will involve the whole family and provide parents with an opportunity to gather, relax, and discuss pressing concerns.
